The Book Of Shadows
The Book of Shadows is the book that guides the sisters and it has been in their family for generations. On the front of the book you can see the sign for The Power Of Three which is a triquetra. The book is magically protected against evil forces so no demon or warlock can touch the book. If they try to touch it, the book pushes itself away. An example of this is what we saw when Cole was trying to look in the book and the book gave him a shot of electricity and pushed itself away from him. The Book Of Shadows has a connection with the Charmed Ones and if they become evil then the book becomes evil aswell. We have seen several examples of this, for example when a high priestess named Dantalian tried to get the book, she kidnapped Prue and forced her to marry one of Dantalian's evil demons. That made Prue evil and it also made Piper and Phoebe evil which made the book evil. In that episode, we also found out how close to each other the Charmed Ones are and how strong their connection is, since both Phoebe and Piper were turned evil because Prue was turned evil.
The Real Book Of Shadows
The real book weighs about 10 pounds so that's why sometimes it gets hard for the cast to hold the book for a long amount of time. The real book of shadows is kept in a safe because it is very valuable and there are alot of fans that want to get to it.
